Don't know about FRs BH, but isn't the law that you can report "household income" on CC apps?

Tell them that in 2012, which is the year they'll request, you weren't employed and that the household income was used to pay the bills.

I was fried! My wife has income but I don't. We file a joint tax return. Does Amex get the w2s or will they not know who's income is who's

had the same story, send in my wife's tax return(I'm a joint) and passed!

I called my F/R case manager (J. Torres) and he never returned my calls until a week or two later I got ahold of him and requested more information on my F/R and to inform me if he is going to close my accounts and he said he just did. It took days of HUCA to have them reopen and close them at my request (his supervisors supervisor)

They close cards just for that

Amex notified me today that they were closing my accounts. I had a 5k limit on skyblue used a low amount of revolving credit (under 20%) and just got approved a year later (a month ago) delta and spg.

They put me under F/R. This year much less on the books.

Is there ANYTHING I can do?!

They said it was because my household income does not justify my credit lines and that because I applied for it the business decision was to shut me down

So was it because of the income or the au's?

20 total AU's over 3 cards with 0 dollar spending limits

I had credit lines under 20k and my reported income was just below credit line

Immediately after my failedfinancial review I had all my amex reclosed at my request. I immediately opened a Barclays card to increase my revolving credit line. I just got approved for the citi american airlines card 100k sign up bonus. My credit score is (transunion) 760. Just wondering how long I should wait 3/6/9/12 months before applying back to amex. My concern is not churning, rather building my credit and getting an amex to backdate it for credit history as it was second card I opened. Thanks for advice

You can reapply for Amex whenever you're ready to pass a FR.

The closed account will remain on your report for 10 years.

I realize all that, I had reported income and should have passed the fr but didn't. I coached a buddy of mine who went through one and he had less income than I did

They had it out for me and I'm pretty sure it was the au's

That's why I'm nervous
