They do see it the name of the account before they get the bank statements. . I just went through this they asked me why I am paying from other peoples accounts. They asked me for 3 months statements of all accounts that I made payments from. I faxed everything in I called they said well I did not get page 2 of statement #1 for April and so on. This went on for 3 weeks.   they made me so Meshuga that I said " it looks like you don't want me as a customer so please go ahead and close my account. " right away they closed my account as per my request.

How much time went by were you paying from 3rd party until they FR'D you?

Also, how did you pay your CC? Online? In branch? Or from the payees account?

I went through a FR on the same account 1 month after the account was opened . and I passed they did not lower my CL.
The last fr was triggered from a big purchase visa gift card purchases at stop and shop. Once they looked onto my account they started btobask all kind of questions. What was the purchase for. Do I swipe for other people. Why do I pay from different accounts. Etc.
I paid online and via mail in check. They knew all the account names even on the online payment accounts before I sent them in the statements.

It was a spg card
 yes the points post to my spg account not to amex MR. Soni did not loose any points.

May I ask if your CR looks bad (maxed cards, a late payment etc.)

When I log on to my account, on one of my cards there is a small red triangle and it says
"Please click here to update your income and financial asset information so that we may service you better"

When I click on it it asks for my updated income and asset information.

It also says
"You agree that we will use the income and financial asset information you provide us here for all the American Express Card accounts you have with us and our affiliates. The information you provide may help us authorize charges you want to make and extend the credit you need."

What are the chances of getting an fr with being a member of amex for 20yrs but I'm about to make large purchases. Specifically on new platinum charge card (about 3-4 months old)

an account that was closed 3 years ago due to an fr, account holder is now getting targetted invitations by mail, does that mean they have better chances of getting back in?

Donno. I did. It was during the april-may amex churning saga. I opened 3 spg's at once, whilst already having one. Got points for some of them. Point is I closed three of them just now. And I plan on doing alot of big spending now on them. Should I be concerned?
