Has anyone has success in passing an F/R when they asked you to send in tax returns and instead you just sent them your bank statements?

You should probably speak to the rep in charge of your case and discuss why you need/want to send in bank statements as opposed to the tax returns they're requesting.

My friend was F/Red. After getting approved for his first 2 AMEXs and doing $3000 in RC loads in the first month of getting the cards. They asked him to send in his 2013 Tax Return, but in that year he only worked Oct-Dec so the 2013 salary doesn't come close to the annual salary he put down on his cc application. Is that going to be a problem?

Explain them the situation.   maybe tell them that you can send them pay stubs.

Tried. They won't hear from it. They gave me a form that allows them to get my 2013 return from the IRS and that's the only thing they'll do as a next step.

where do you get this info from?

fill out the form and explain the situation of only working for a couple months that year. worst case scenario they drop your credit, very unlikely that they close accounts if your friend actually has income on the books.

I think he needs to get the ball rolling first, get them what they want and then tell them the situation. Why didn't he talk to to you about so much spending on a brand new bank relationship? Your friends seem to follow half your advice!

I'm talking about where it will NOT leave a credit on the account (meaning that I owe 1k in total, a merchant charges me $100 and refunds $200 so now I owe $800). Kind of a weird case, I know-but does anyone have experience with this?

if getting double refund is a trigger IMO it will be a problem regardless of the acc balance

I actually don't mean a double refund just one refund double the size (not sure if you're saying it might be a trigger specifically because it's double, one after another).

I'm done with advice. Ppl ask a few Q's and refuse to read DDF and of course in a text I don't remember every single detail about a topic. Then they get screwed. At least none of my friends have gotten angry at me.

Can't imagine why. It's a separate account with zero risk to amex.
Aren't you in FR now? See if you can use them while your other cards are suspended. That should give you the answer.
