I have always read here that large spending on a new account triggers a f/r, I just opened 2 new amex cards both with a $7k cl and I have to meet a spending treshold, so what is considered large spending? How much can I swipe @ once?

There is no specific amount. Just be careful, and ramp up spending slowly.

Not definite. But if he closed it himself, he can be OK after 6 months.

I think once he closed the cards he can't reopen the f/r... However when he applies for an Amex it can trigger an immediate f/r and he can deal with that....

I don't know. I guess it depends on her real credit worthiness vs. what she has now... Meaning if they will come to the conclusion that she only deserves 10% of the credit she has, then maybe close yourself. I guess it also depends on how confident you are that she will pass...
