i passed an f/r less than 6 months ago. they slashed my credit limits. is it ok to apply now for new cards? or am i at risk of a new f/r?

ive gotten 4 new cards since my fr 6 months ago and nothing happened yet except one mini fr

I applied within a month and a half of getting fr'ed, my original cl's had been slashed, got approved with a pre-fr cl, also closed my charge cards and applied for new ones, non had credit limits

A friend of mine got fr'd when he downgraded but it was because when he called in he they reviewed his account..

If he was calling to downgrade, he deserved an FR. Always downgrade over chat.

+1 s/o was recently telling me he was constantly downgrading via fr and now chat doesnt work on his computer. coincidence?

Since it's always better not to call, should I chat about a missing March PDF statement and not receiving a hard copy on my NOBC or let it go since it was only around 3K that month? On the other hand I haven't had any points post since 3/9 and 3/16 when I redeemed two CB rewards, $375 and $225. One was when they had problems with rewards not posting.

I've opened charge cards within 3 weeks and had no limit placed,guess ymmv

Seems that the best option is to just open a new card then to wait for them to increase you
