After closing down the account is there a bigger chance at getting f/red again and would it make sense to wait(to apply) until after they would have closed the f/r meaning 2 weeks or just in right ahead with application also is it better to apply for only one card or i  can even do a 3bm

U don't seem to get it. When u go under fr u r there because they consider u a credit risk. Until u pass it, thereby answering why ur not a credit risk, they won't accept u for a cc for at least 6 months!

Those DP's are out of the norm. This guy apparently thinks that by shutting his cards instead of them shutting it, he can now reopen

Just to clarify the reason that ppl wait ~6 months is to try and avoid getting hit with an f/r immediately after getting approved. You can apply and very likely get accepted for another cc the next day, only problem is there's a huge chance of immediately getting hit again. Closing your cards does not circumvent amex's need to see your financials . After ~6 months (can be less can be more) there are reports of ppl who closed down their cards instead of supplying the info that Amex needed getting approved "without immediately getting f/red again" that is the key, getting accepted is the easy part.

I would advise you to take TimT's advice and start looking for data points as to when ppl applied and didn't get immediately hit with a f/r
