Then tell them that's it's a sole proprietorship so you file under your personal income tax and explain the business to them, you should be fine.

Ask them, I don't think it is though, someone from the FR department would have called you.

I applied for a Amex Business gold card online a month ago. I put my SSN for TAX ID. they wrote that I should call. I called, they asked me the TAX ID, I didn't know what to answer, I said I don't have it handy. they issued the card and said that I should call in upon receival of the card to advice the TAX ID number.
when I received the card I tried to activate online, it said to call to activate. I called, they asked me the Tax ID, I gave them my SSN and they activated the card.
after a month of using the card, I see online that the card is canceled, I called up customer service' they gave me a number to call.
before I'm calling, does anyone have an idea what can be the issue?

Should be a quick call when they ask for your tax ID say you are a sole proprietorship buisness.

so i have had amex cards for a few yes never had any problems. have opened closed cards and always paid on time. recently put a lot of money on my amex gold business and got that my charging suspended. if i cannot prove any income am i done?

you have to prove a big income, ppl passed with a 10k income as well.

Read up on this thread. Just remember. Possibly the most important thing. Don't tell them anything on the phone which you can't prove! Once u tell them u make x amount of $, they will hold you to your word

from personal experience = as long u show them u make a income even a small amount (and even only 5 or 10% from how much u told them when opening the card) they will only slash your CL but not close u    good luck!

right so i techinically am still living at home (with regard to the gov't). so i cant prove anything.
