Amex F/R Master Thread

Just confirming, Amex is running system maintenance on all my accounts and it's not a FR.

wife applied for starwood personal 3 days ago. checked the status today and says cancelled. When called 3 times, the last agent said they sent  her a letter requiring some docs to send back. They need a form called 4506 T form and any bank letter showing my address. The agent said the 4506T is just a form to fill out  and send back.

Anyone know what this is about? Is it one of those you have to pay the IRS to get  it? and where do we get the 4506 T?

My wife closed her amex cards last year due to FR. I guess they knew this and restart the FR.

4506-T is the one you dont have to pay.

Call Amex, they will email/mail you the form to fill out.

oh, so is it different from the one  amex required when they suspended  her accounts and wanted tax form? What  information this 4506-T asks?
Her tax return's income is little less than what is on the new application. Hope this won't bother them

Just Google "4506-T" and print the form from the IRS website.
No need to request it from amex.

I found on IRS website. It asks if   it is join return, Does my wife have to write my name as well? If my wife is  the only applicant on the Amex card, my name must be written in this form?

I don't understand all the check boxes in the form.

I just got a call from AE saying that she is sending me a email and I need to fill this out . how much money does it need to be in my account in order they should close my account ? do I have a chance they should keep it open ? or should I first transfer my points .

+1.  Wife got FR'd twice in 6 months and the second rep was different from the first.  First FR was never even mentioned during the second.

Were you asked to send your tax forms or income or the 4506T form?

My wife was FRed last year. She had the PRG card . She closed her card down instead. 3 days ago. She applied for the starwood personal card but it got from  pending to cancelled to FR. Now they told me they sent her a letter  asking for form 4506T & bank paper with her address on top. I looked at the 4506T on irs.gov and I don't know what to write down on those spaces below your name. Does she have to write down her income in the form?

Not exactly, but was FR'd in 2005, never responded. Applied constantly, was always asked For TR and address. Was ready to give it, but they never had it right, so it never materialized. 2 months ago, I applied and got approved. I think the trick is because when asked what CL I need, I put a modest 5K, instead of my usual 20K requests. Now I checked if purchase will go through, and it allows for 12K already.

I think the trick is because when asked what CL I need, I put a modest 5K, instead of my usual 20K requests. Now I checked if purchase will go through, and it allows for 12K already.

Where is the option where they ask how much CL you need?  And what card(s) did you just get approved for after this FR?
