What is the IRS Form 4506-T?
 Form 4506-T is an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) document that is used to retrieve past tax returns, W-2, and 1099 transcripts that are on file with the IRS. The document gives permission for a third party to retrieve the tax payer’s data. The taxpayer must sign and date the 4506-T.

Yeh I meant the one Amex asks for during a F/R. I forgot the name.

Does anybody have experience with Amex asking for address verification, what can be given? They ask for a letter from my bank, but Chase said they don't give letters.

They ask for a 4506-T (for me they did) and that also gives them W-2 info.

not a letter from a bank that states that they verify your address. Anything sent to you at your address from your bank is a verification of your address. That's the way I would understand it

You can have Amex call Chase and verify your address. You need to bank with Chase though.

No, it clearly says that it needs to be a letter with a persons signature and title.

Thats not saying much. If you had a business that spends 500k monthly...3k is a joke.
A personal user that spends $500 a month, 3k is alot.

Ok sorry for not being clear it was a personal with a 5K limit and it was just opened within the week.

Is it risky to pay my Amex bill with my wife's BB account?

I was f/r 'd about a year and half ago and preventively closed all 3 accounts. In the past few months I've been receiving many offers in the mail including a targeted delta card offer. Does this mean I have a good chance at getting accepted again to Amex? They are really rough and scary on the f/r side so I'm scared of having to talk to recon and they'll bring up the f/r. Any ideas? Thanks

They'll ask for your tax return if you try to open up a new card, so if you don't have income, don't bother... And the new accounts department is in India, so there's nothing to be scared about

Not always.
I know someone who got F/R and opened accounts 3 years later. Not a word about the previous F/R was discussed. Not papers needed.

Got FR'd sent in paperwork got notification about account cancelation.

Lesson learned call amex to verify they received the fax.

They never got my fax and just shut me down. Lucky I saved the forms with the fax confirmation. I'm fighting now to have them reopen my case.

-1 I got F/Rd this past Feb. closed all my accounts and reapplied in Aug. and got accepted with having to speak to recon.

I see that one of the reason for f/r is amex gift card purchases. Does this apply to going into CVS and buying a visa/MC/Amex GC for $500, do the CC companies know what I am buying at CVS and will that cause a F/R?
