Do you receive the additional mileage bonus if you pay using the US Airways card? If so, the cpm is quite good.

It might - Depends

For example for around 1100 ( I can't remember the exact price) you'll get 100,000 miles which is enough for a coach ticket to Israel at the low end price. If there were availability for the summer when tickets are high this would be a great deal.

Or another example if if you want to fly business to Europe for around $1400 you could get enough miles to get you there at the lowest price.  From most if not all areas in the US a business class ticket to Europe for 1400 is a great price!

Example number 3  For around $970 you can pocket 70,000 miles which could get you a FIRST  class ticket to Hawaii at the lowest price.

It's all about availability. But there are definitively some reasons why this could be to your advantage!

Check out USAirways award chart to see where you could go!   http://www.usairways.com/en-US/dividendmiles/usemiles/awardchart.html
or check here for price of miles

Sorry. I meant for $1100 you get 80,000 which is enough for a coach ticket.
Whoops!

Also figure in the taxes for the flight and redemption fee ( not sure if and what us airways charges to book award tickets)
