I just called barclays to remove a late payment from an annual fee from my credit score, and they were able to do it on the phone, with out a letter being written.
Great, letter should be done when all else fails.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Agreed. Are they even allowed to report non payment for annual fee as late?
Yes sure. But they needed to send a billing statement that might have been the bank error.

are you sure it was reported to the credit bureaus or you just saw it late on your statement?
