I think i lost my chance because i sent in by mistake 2 apps for the gold and the second app it said i have to wait 14 days etc..

So i found out that charge cards are not bad for your utilization when closed.

so now the question is after getting the bonus close the card or downgrade?

Dan, would you know A: If I can apply for BOTH, the Marriott card AND the Marriott premier (within 3BM)?

B: Are those points UR, or transferable to UR?

C: Why do you so dislike Marriott cards (I already have SPG), don't they carry quite a hefty bonus?

D: Am I not getting more $$worth by applying for Marriott card and getting 50k points instead of applying for SPG and receiving only 10k spg points (can't spent so much.. to get higher amount of points..)?

I have had both, although not at the same time.

They are not UR points and can't be transferred to UR

They don't have as much value as URor SPG, however you can get value out of them. Last summer I got 2 free nights in the UK with free night certs. This summer I will have 4 nights in a 2 bedroom suite in a residence in in San Diego for 2 certs and 80,000 points.

Why not get both?

I've read in other blogs that you should only apply for a chase card 1 time per 3 months and in general to do it regularly. is that incorrect?

also i heard you can't churn chase and amex cards...but it seems people have??? i'm surprised!

Hahaha..I guess not! So when do you think is the right amount of time to re-apply for a Chase credit card if you canceled it (e.g. Chase Sapphire Preferred) I closed it. It still shows on my online account for some reason. It be awesome if I could get that bonus again.
And

how many credit inquiries is too many to have in order to apply for a credit card? just wondering as some just apply for 12-16 cards a year while i think it be awesome to do 6 cards every 3-4months and rack up possibly 18-24 cards.

There is no minimum time to wait, it's all about how good you are at negotiating with recon. Freezing reports can help with inquiries as well.

Wow okay! I've read freezing reports, meaning you put a freeze on, for example, your experian account so that Chase, when applying, goes to a different credit bureau and sees that you don't have many inquiries. correct?

applying time between cards, is the 30 days based on the person or the bank?

meaning i applied for a few chase 5 weeks ago and did amex a week ago so can i reapply for chase or better wait till its a month from the amex app?
