I just explained I keep my reports frozen for security and I temporarily lifted the freeze on bureau x (that I want them to pull).

they allow you to dictate which one you want them to use? does it work with amex and chase?

They'll ask you to unfreeze the bureau they want to pull, no games.

The 100K offer is dead for now, when it comes back I'll be sure to post it!

Not worth wasting a one-time only app on 50k IMHO.

BA is virtually unchurnable at this point.

What makes it unchurnable?  You mean if you got the 100k offer last time you wouldn't get the 50k miles for doing a new app?  Or would you get rejected?

One of the two. Even if you get approved you get this dreadful letter saying you're ineligible for the signup bonus.

I believe Amex has been reported churnable but beware of what happened to mb- they denied his 4th try saying he got too many awards this year.  Some say that means he is on the verge of an amex blacklisting...

I've spent a lot of time going through the forums and my time and efforts have greatly paid off literally!

I am still confused about churning (which cards, how often, closing accounts, consolidating etc..) as that information doesn't seem to be organized in one place.

Dan or Asher may I suggest that you post an organized posting on all the specific cards that you list on the front page of this posting of how and when they would be churnable? Must they be closed? waiting period? etc..that would be ever so helpful. thanks!

People need to read the forums, there's only that much information that can/should be aggregated IMHO.

I am very familiar with that page Asher.

I wanted more info on churning specifically.

Aright I guess I will keep putting the bits and pieces together as I have been doing until now.

It's a science you need to study. Every situation is different, depends on what miles/points you collect, what state you live in (what bureaus get pulled), what your credit looks like, what income you report etc. etc.
