Try to accumulate UR points through Chase. As stated above, these include the Ink Bold, Sapphire Preferred, and Freedom cards. Make sure you try to find sign up links that offer the highest amounts (50k, 50k, and 20k respectively, although they are slowly disappearing.)

You can transfer them into United Airlines and can fly to EY for 80k miles when they have Saver availability.

i did a 3bm for my brother and one of the cards was a chase freedom, he was denied on the premise that he already had one, It turns

out that about three years ago he downgraded some card to freedom, so my question is:

Has there been any significant change to the freedom card over the last couple years? for instance is the "exclusives" new? I'm looking

for an angle to argue for a new freedom card in place of the old one. Any suggestions?

Won't help you. You couldn't have 2 of the same card, it doesn't matter the benefits differences.

i don't want two of the same cards, i want to get the sign on bonus again and i don't mind closing the freedom

Hi, I did a 1bm for the Chase Ink Bold credit card, didn't get instant approval, called application status, they said 2 weeks, called business reconsideration and they asked me numerous questions about my business (which is my legit business) such as income of last 2 years, how it operates, etc. After few min wait he came back that he has 'recommended' it for approval but has to go through a verification process which takes 24-48 hours. What's that? Anyone had this in the past?

I had it on a few of my personal cards.

i have had this over 10 times, every time got approved, i always figured it's some lingo that basically means approved unless we change our minds.

I have had it on Both personal and Biz. There was some confusion in the process once and I called two days later and found final approval was not given due to too many requests.

After speaking to an analyst they approved the card, so I would call to be certain . Recommendation
does not guaranty final approval though it usually does .

Was just on the phone with recon today, we spoke about why I wanted the card, and the lady went on hold came back and said it's approved, but then a minute later said it needs second [level?] approval which was done in a minute as i was on hold again.

Many times even after verifying your credit worthiness they need to verify your personal information to see that it is actually you who is applying

It's happened to me a few times, but not each time.
The questions were pretty harmless. Prior address, etc.

I applied for my wife and gave her wrong age and it still went through

@reuven: you don't get it, they won't ask me any more questions, the system will verify my info within 24-48 hours and a decision will be made. I had multiple times when they transferred me to a verification dep that asked me prior address questions and approved right after that. My current story is a bit different.
