applied for the sapphire MC was declined, spoke to recon said reason cuz i have a big balance on my united card that i swiped this month (the biggest since i have the card) so i should pay it off and will see!!

how does it sound to u guys? did someone have this said by recon and then (after paying the bill) got approved?

It doesnt hurt to huca now...the worst they can do is decline for same reason.

After a while you can pay bill then try again.

The $1 is not widely available anymore. For United, British, Hyatt and Marriot now the minimum required spend went from $1 to $1000 unfortunately

Wasn't implying that there is an advantage, I just did not know that there was a link for the Plus.

If anything the Plus is more advantages as it has the ability to pay over time. I am therefore surprised that you can actually have both .

And the IB is more advantages as it has no CL
