Still, your mother has the same last name as you, and you were registered on that address. I don't know what is the defining factor, just guessing. With me, I just changed apartments and it caused problems.

On my wife's first credit card, that she got instantly approved for I put a new address that was never on her report. Her next credit card I put a different last name and they didn't give any problems.

i just tried a 2BM for a freedom and SP. the SP in firefox went through but the freedom app didnt go throgh in chrome. what should i do?? i did it like 10 min ago!

I think its YMMV...but some one with more experience should know forsure...

I think what dan means when he said you can still apply same day is it might come up as one pull...if not why would he say you have to apply today?

i want to be very certain if i do another app that it will still only be 1 pull.

Cards from the same bank on the same day normally get 1 pull.
The reason for a 2/3bm is to improve odds of additional instant approvals.

As always though, YMMV. Nothing is 100% certain in this game.

That card is a pretty important card for you for a few reasons...it will be your wifes first card so you want that card to not have an annual fee...and because of the rumor that chase will be downgrading freedom exclusives program...if it were me...I would risk the small chance of an additional hard pull.

i just did re-applied for the freedom in firefox-it went through and it said i will receive an answer in the mail like the SP. i hope it only counts as 1 pull, the apps were only about 45 minutes apart. strange though that the freedom link would not work through Dan's link or the chase link in Chrome even after clearing cookies and going incognito....

if she gets approved for the SP, i can always downgrade it after the year to a regular Sapphire that has no annual fee...so not the end of the world. i really wanted it to try and get her grandfathered in with Exclusives.

Even if they approve SP and not Freedom you can have Recon switch the approval if necessary.
