I'm new here but I've got 3 pulls maybe even a 4th pull on my history. I applied for cc and put too low of an income now I know what to say for income. It's been 6 months for all pulls except the last which which was 3 months ago anyone have any ideas if it's safe to apply for an AMEX or wait or chase or.... I've been as an AU on a new SPG and a year or 2 old blue cash for 3 months. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Update with my Amex application,
I called yesterday and they told me I was officially declined because the income on my Tax return that they got from the IRS was lower than my stated income. I tried explains to the rep that just because in 2011 fiscal year I didn't make that much money, I'm making more today and I can send in all my bank accounts statements that reflect that. His final answer was that all they cared about it the Tax forms and they don't match.
After HUCA the next rep said he will send it in for reconsideration on the ground that the tax forms aren't accurate for today's actual income, I'm now waiting for a final answer from them.

Chase makes getting approved seem so easy!

Same thing happened to me and I was denied on round 2, wishing you luck.

What happens if I apply for the same card with Chase twice within 30 days? (No credit pull on the first app due my EX being frozen)

Will they let me use the second app and ignore the first?

If even after recon they still say no tell them you want to change the amount you wrote in your app to the number you have on your 4506 form. Tell them you made a mistake or wrote household income. Then if the number isn't that low they might approve it for a lower CL. Was the letter good?

I'm not sure about the letter, when I called on Thursday about them receiving the letter, they just started telling me about the Income amount

What do you mean get something matched? You can apply for some Chase cards....SP or Freedom or United Explorer...

Either SP for 40k UR points or United Explorer 30k miles (but can try to get matched to 50 (55?) miles)

You asked what Chase card has best opening offer now...I gave you two suggestions.  What do you mean "why not try something better? Do I have better chances with Chase?"

If you want Chase then I think those are the best sign up offers currently...You can 2BM a SP and United Explorer.

Is this for you? Do you have good credit? Do you currently have any CC's with Chase?
