I fly Delta for work on a regular basis, but short haul flights. Though I don't pay for the tickets, it would be nice to have status for the purposes of upgrades etc. Does it make sense to get an Amex Delta card or to get another card and transfer the pts to Delta in order to get status?

I'm closing a Chase Unite Explorer card, and wanted to transfer the credit to the Freedom card. Combined the credit limit would be larger than any limit I ever had. Is there a downsize in having a very large limit? A ratio of annual income? I recall seeing something like that here.

having a large spike in CL or CL way over your income could be a trigger. It doesn't sound like you're raising your CL, just combining. Dan's mentioned having a CL of $25k on any Amex as a trigger. I haven't seen it mentioned for any 1 chase card.

i'm doing recon for a family member for a discover card, they told me he can't be approved by himself he needs another person on the account. is there anyway to get him approved by himself? (meaning anyone to talk to and so on?)

I'm not sure that amex would allow that.
