Ok- I got all that from the post that I replied to.  I went back in the threads and realized that Leeboy did not write how he did the churn and how long he waited after canceling.  Or how he managed to pull off 2 amex plat's.

Im looking to gain from those experienced.  Im sorry im still a n00bie.

but I am grateful for your prompt responses always.  sorry.

There are extensive threads on churning Amex charge cards, most of the discussion has been in the threads discussing Amex's generous policy of matching signup bonuses, allowing people to bump their signup bonuses to 75/100k.

Because churning is officially against the rules, different things work for different people, and it isn't guaranteed that what has worked for someone else will work for you, for better and for worse.

I saw somewhere a number to call in regard to using 3MB for applying for chase and getting pending decisions. I want to call and get separate reference numbers when i call for application status/reconsideration. Whats the number to call? the regular chase cs? or is there a diff number?

Call them and ask for your reference numbers then call recon. Although many people have reported calling recon with ref numbers and still they saw all apps.

Update: Freedom $200 Cash Back, now only requires $500 spend for signup bonus threshold.

I asked them to match this bonus as I did not get any bonuses when I signed up, his answer: "Since this card has been open for over a year, NO."  >:(
 Any ideas?

I just got the CO card for the (hopefully) 50k.  Is there a code out there I should reference when asking for the additional 20k or just ask for it in SM?

Called executive office, said the same thing. But she gave me 5000 points as a gesture (50 dollar value). I feel like I cannot get the $200 anymore as I already took this?

Dan, do you have a link to the Citi Dividend card that has 12 months intro 0% APR and $150 cash back which is currently on the Citibank website? Your link does not offer the 0% intro APR and I would like to sign up for it to float some cash for the next 6 months.

You can get enough interest to warrant the balance transfer fee?

$5000 for 6 months at 15% is $375 while transfering to the card which provides a $5 rebate per $1500 transfer plus the $150 cash would equal a gain of $15. Not the best offer out there, but a $390 gain seems worthwhile. Plus the card can be kept as a long-standing card since it has no annual fee. If you have a better idea, I would love to hear it as I have 780+ credit and I have not paid interst on a CC in over 7 years.[quote author=AsherO

Seems he's carrying a balance and 'saving' 15% interest. But I consider the 3-5% fee interest as well.

Not paying any interest right now, but I have to float some money for some grad school expenses coming up that won't be reimbursed for several months. I would like to recieve miles or complete spending requirements on the 10+ cards my wife and I acquired over the last three months. I am not sure of the exact interest on the milage cards I would use, but 15% seems fairly normal for most milage cards.

Seems he's carrying a balance and 'saving' 15% interest. But I consider the 3-5% fee interest as well.
In my calculations, I just assumed the 3% transfer fee was a wash against the $150 bonus rebate. Interest, yes, but not paid by me (except for the lost opportunity cost).

Do you have any other suggestions?

Find a way to make it a purchase (US mint coins perhaps?), and you'll save yourself the 3% as well.

dan says that you can freeze experian so that chase does a credit check on the one you want it to. but he says you might have to call ahead
that means i should call chase and say "hey im going to apply for 3 cards but you cant pull from one agency" and they are going to see that info when they review you for the card? a little clarification please?

What you have to do is first freeze whichever bureaus you dont want them to check and then apply.  Then once the apps are in call recon with the app ID's and check on the apps.  IME 1 of 2 things should happen: 1. Either they will automatically default to the only open bureau, OR 2. They will say oh the credit report is frozen and you will respond saying yes but please pull from TU (or wtvr you left open).

I think thats what he meant.  That worked for me.  G'luck

I just explained I keep my reports frozen for security and I temporarily lifted the freeze on bureau x (that I want them to pull).

they credited you the points instantly for all 3???

Havent been following the string- have you had those cards before?  or first time?

If you had them, did you cancel or downgrade and how long before reapplying?
Thanks

Ok- I got all that from the post that I replied to.  I went back in the threads and realized that Leeboy did not write how he did the churn and how long he waited after canceling.  Or how he managed to pull off 2 amex plat's.

Okeeee! Was away for some time sooo........
I got one amex plat 4 months ago i got my miles and closed it down, one month later i opened a new Amex plat (strange, but i never got any credit hit for this card) got my miles and kept the card, a couple days ago i did the 3 browser method (Took me some time to figure out What "3BM" stands for) for amex business gold, amex premier gold and amex plat & got approved.
A few days after i signed up i called membership rewards and asked the fellow to add the bonus id's to each of the 3 cards which he did happily
For those that messaged me, yes i have a business ein so i dont know if it would work without one
I got 2 credit hits on experian possibly since the business is a different department or possibly because i didnt do them in one shot but a couple minutes after each other.

I know its frustrating reading all the threads, but to make $10K-$13k worth of points in 5-6 months aint to bad!
Life is not about getting things easy! :) yegata umotzoso ta'amin!
