Forgot about this. Looks great. Any idea what kind of protection debit cards give you? Are you just as covered as with a cc for chargebacks and fraudulent charges?
CC is better for chargebacks and fraud than debit cards, but they say you're still protected with debit.
Of course with debit the money is gone until they investigate while with credit you don't pay anything while they investigate.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

IME, even on the debit card they give you a temporary credit until the investigation is completed.
Personally was using Chase CO Debit.

Off topic: Why is there a red slash and a unlocked symbol in the browser when clicking the Experian link in the first post???

I hope this is not a fake scam site... But if it is it is too late for me  :( :(

The red slash means that they're onto you.  Grab some extra tinfoil.

B"H

Dan

Got approved instantly last week on the 3 browser push for citi AA 30k mile personal card and the simplicity card but was denied for the biz card after they took 3 days to process a credit check bc they saw I made multiple credit apps.  I didn't realize the 75k AA card was still happening and i'd liken to apply.  Will I get flagged ya think by Citi if I apply for the 75k card now and ultimately denied?  Any others experience this?

Thx

No it is not a fake site, your connection to experian is encrypted but they are including a resource via an unencrypted connection (in this case its this script).

Hi Dan, i hope you can help me here. I applied for 3 Chase cards using the 3bm and just received the letters in the mail that i was rejected for every one of them, CO,UA & Freedom.

The reasons: Credit Report did not score enough points...
Strange that on one letter it said my score is 707 (based on FICO-Experian. Range 300-850) and the other said my score is 661 (based on Chase Bank. Range 100-990), i don't really understand the discrepancies here... whatever

Primary Factors:
-Not enough accts open long enough
-too many requests for new credit or reviews (i think almost all from Chase, attempting to open those same cards)
-balances are too high compared to credit limit (they looked of course right before i paid my bills... thank you)
-too many recently opened accts. (oddly enough, from ...Chase)

I thought i'd get approved because i WAS approved for the BA card a few months ago..
BTW, i pay ALL my bills on time.
Amex approved me for 2 cards on that same day.

So my Q. is, A) Which of the numbers below should i call (1st  2nd 3rd..)?
                 Chase: 800-432-3117 (Application status)
Chase: 888-270-2127 (Application reconsideration)
Chase: 877-781-3109 (Card combining & card type changes)
Chase: 888-245-0625 (Credit Analyst reconsideration)
Chase: 888-622-7547 (Chase Executive Office)

B) What would be my best argument to get reconsidered?

Thanks to anyone who thinks they can help. :-*

I really want to grab the CO (50K) and UA (30K) while i can..

 :(

Welcome to the forums!

I just use the number to the credit analist reconsideration and got a card approved. My argument was that I was just approved for the BA card  in May, so I'm abviosly credit worthy and I don't carry any balances. I also proactivly told them that if they
Don't want to extend more credit to me at the moment, they can take some of the credit line from my BA card. After a few minutes hold I was approved for the new card with 5K CL.

But i have THREE cards applications declined, are you saying i should work one card at a time?  By asking to 'just approve one' and then calling again and trying to get the 2nd approved.. etc..?

I think you should do one at a time, though I don't have experience with multiple application at Chase, but that makes the most sense.

Yup, it's for a lower annual fee though.

Southwest was the third app I was attempting last night, I ended up filling out my info about 5 times w/o signing up for anything: First I did the preferred than the Hyatt, which made me take time to make a gold passport so I lost the preferred app, than, after I finally had both the hyatt and preferred app good to go, I got a call so I lost them again, than, after filling in the Preferred twice and the hyatt once, I filled them both in again and came Southwest and realized that it's only 25K, so I dropped all of them to take time to decide which is my next best bet...

I did 3 browser method with Chase (hyatt, saphire and continental) and froze my experian credit report, so they pulled Equifax where my score is over 780.

I got back 3 letters denying me  because 'Too many requests for credit or opened accounts with us'

What is the best approach for recosideration with them:

I currently have a Marriott for 10k credit line, Freedom with 16k and Another Chase with 5k. I had a BA card which I cancelled last year with 20k, which I regretably did not transfer the balance over. I don't mind closing the Marriott and other chase and I am willing to transfer line from Freedom Card. (the most recent Chase card I opened was over a year ago)

I am also an authorized user on 2 other accounts with Chase for approx 40k, does that have an effect on my own ability to get more credit from Chase, if so I will remove myself as authorized user. (these 2 were opened this year, the most recent was 3-4 months ago)

I would appreciate anyones advice as the best way to handle my situation, as I don't want to call Chase and screw it up for myself.

Thanks

Now that southwest went down to only 25K, what do you guys suggested as an alternative for the third app (after Preferred and Hyatt)? Continental? United?
