Has anyone this year successfully applied for three Chase cards using 3BM?

Depends on what you mean by "successfully."

Instant approval, or eventual approval? If the latter, yes, I know of people.

So far this year I've gotten BA, CO OPP, Hyatt, Ink Bold, SWA, Sapphire Preferred, and UA Sig.
Holdovers are the Freedom and CO PP.

ok, so i did my first ever 3BM for Chase cards.  I have been successful in the last few weeks getting approval for 2 Citi cards for me and 3 for my wife (although they only sent approval via email and mail for 2 for her) in the last few weeks.  I applied for CO OPP, SW, and Hyatt.  I did all within a second of each other and all 3 came back with a message that the analysts will review the app and notify me within 10 days.  Typical or a bad omen?  Does Chase do this more than Citi?  I only have a SLATE card with Chase that was opened many years ago.  I do my banking with them.  Thoughts?

just found the "Chase Reconsideration" forum section and read the posts there, got most of my answers.  looks like relatively common for Chase to not approve on the spot.  Hopefully won't get 2 or 3 credit pulls and perhaps will have to call Recon Dept.  One thing i wasn't sure of was the question asking if i have online banking setup and the app did say that could expedite the process.  I do have one but it's under my wife's login info so i put no.  thoughts on if that adversely affected the instant approval?

on the contrary. it only expedites by pre-filling the form, not the actual approval process. and with things like churns, 3bm etc. you're usually better of NOT logging in

The real key with Recon is staying cool under pressure and explaining why you want a card.
My Ink Bold and Sapphire were approved without Recon but SWA was denied initially.  The credit analyst rep said I had opened 13 Chase cards in the past year and there was no way she was going to approve the card.

I stayed cool and explained that I do a ton of traveling and enjoyed the benefits of getting free bags on UA, flex elite miles on CO, BOGO tickets on BA, elite status with Hyatt, bonus points with no Forex fees with Sapphire Preferred, Ink Bold for business purchases, 5% categories with Freedom, and wanted to have the SWA card for when I fly SWA and to go for their companion pass.

Approved :)

Ink Bold And Sapphire Preferred are gorgeous cards by the way.  Kudos to the Chase design team as well as their awesome Recon/Analyst dept.

With enough tries you can push through all kinds of issues at Chase's recon dept. I have a list of rebuttals ready in my head when I call, so whatever reasons they give for denial, I have an ironclad response to fire back at them. I also stress the usual points: Long time customer, always pay on time and in full, spend a lot, low utilization, good score, high income-to-debt ratio, etc. etc.

Ink Bold And Sapphire Preferred are gorgeous cards by the way.  Kudos to the Chase design team

My Sapphire Preferred is much nicer than my Ink Bold. But even the SP isn't even remotely as nice as the glossy card they market:

My old Sapphire Preferred was glossy, but not heavy like this one.
I prefer the new non-glossy heavy one.  The old one was a bit tacky.

And definitely +1 on stressing that you're a good customer for those reasons.
