Just had no problem reallocating $2,500 from my UA Visa Sig opened this year (dropping the credit line to $2,500) to Freedom.

It seems I'm going to have to do something similar to keep the utilization on my Freedom card under control, with all the small charges I'm putting on it now.

+ 1 was able to cut some of my credit line from a Chase Visa Sig with about $2000 CL left after the realocation. Still retained its Visa Sig status (for whatever it's worth).

Here's a chase reallocation for u
I got my 3rd swa card (wife and i together) i have numerous cards from chase (CO, UA mariott hyatt saphirre pref. freedom)
CSR: bec. u have over $30,000 total lines of credit I cannot extend more credit
ME: swap UA ($5,200 line of credit ) (was planning on getting the updated UA explorer anyway)
CSR: I'll review that
ME: can u divide part of the line of credit
CSR: no
CSR: thank u i've approved u for the swa visa with............$10,000.00 line of credit

I think that's happened to many of us here. We offer to move some credit line from another account and they end up giving us more then we asked for without moving any credit form the other cards. Good for you!

Anyone,
Is there anything I can do. I booked the flight from Expedia.NZ for $810 NZ, I made it from 1/11/2012-1/18/2012. My cousine just got engaged and his wedding is 1/15/2012. I spoke to Expedia, they said if I cancell i forfeit the whole ticket.(even if I want to change dates, it would be $250 plus the differance in airfare, and I they told me I have to take the same route (Newark to Toronto to Telaviv (Air Canada) and return through Zurich (Swissair). Is there anything I can do, or do I just have to forfeit the ticket. (including maybe I can transfer it, or any other ideas, can the Credit Card help me in any way. I booked it on a Citi Dividend card).

Just got the letter from chase saying that my freedom app was declined due to too many inquiries for credit or opened accounts with us.
The interesting thing is that usually at the end of the letter there is a paragraph saying you can call to reconsider blah, blah...This letter didn't have that

Oh and the letter was dated Oct. 26 and my cards were approved on the 25th does this mean I can call Nov. 25th? and still be reconsidered?

Possibly. Best to call a few days before 30 are up and see if they still say 'it hasn't been 30 days', and it they do call right on (or right after) day 30.

I just got today the same rejection letter without that bottom paragraph for the freedom card, but for a different card that was rejected (Marriott 70k) i got it with the bottom paragraph. i first tried calling to get the freedom card with a line of credit transfer but the csr wouldn't do it. i called again for the Marriott card and had no problem.

So weird. Are we seeing a trend here?

Please give the Freedom card another shot and let us know how it goes. If you have to (and are willing), offer to close a different card to push this one through...
