I've had instant 3BMs with Citi and AMEX in the past.  With Chase though I think it's always been via Recon.

just got denied for chase ink bold they said to many apps in last 12months i asked the rep if he can take the credit from another chase card i have and he said NO

i opened a plat pr gold spg amex and a chase sp should i even try calling other # for recon or its a waist of time

He said too many chase apps in the last 12 months? (Looks like you only only CSP  )

no he said to many open accounts and a nice amount of them are new accounts

i also have a chase sapphire reg card and a canceled freedom card tht i exchanged for the csp card

so wht my next step pls help me out

You have my agreement on that. I feel like I overstepped my boundaries with Chase a few months back, and wasn't able to apply for the fee-free 50k SW offer because of that.

Why would I get that card?

Had an epic disaster (maybe not that bad) 3BM'ing Amex cards. Got approved for the 75k business card but the Starwood said no because of "credit score" and the Blue Cash didn't even go through because they said I applied for another card already.
This is my second mess-up with the 3BM. What am I doing wrong and is it worth it to call Amex Recon? My credit score is good and I have a good, steady income so that shouldn't be an issue. Also, what can I tell them if they ask why I applied for 3 cards at once?

I don't know what you're doing wrong, or even if you're doing anything wrong. However, what would be the reason to not call Recon? If you want advice, I'd tell you to give them a call about the starwood card. Then call again for the Blue Cash. You are already 'paying' with at least one hard pull, you might as well fight for your cards.

If you find a broker/travel agent who'll buy them off you, 50k is worth  ~$900 in SW tickets.

Either way, people were saying it's a good offer, but that doesn't necessarily make it a good offer for you...

Tell them you like Starwood hotels and you're much more interested in the card than in the credit line.
The worst they can do is say no, in which case you're right where you are right now.

Someone else just reported this as well (earlier in this thread), I have no explanation for it.

You can just explain that the business card is for business expenses and the two personal cards are for different kinds of purchases (e.g. you got the blue cash for the 3x cashback at supermarkets and the 2x cashback on gas.

Tell them you like Starwood hotels and you're much more interested in the card than in the credit line.
