First, were you targeted for the 75K offer?

Second, if not, did you have your account notated with a match request?

If the answer to both of those questions is "No" you're likely out of luck.

P.S. Welcome to the forums.

Do u have any good history with Amex. If so call MR  and ask for a CSR mr manager . Hopefully if noted on your account , this personnmay push it for you.

If no other Amex cards , highly unlikely.

I have an closed platinum amex card.

I'm flying next week on continental.

Is there any platinum lounge access I can take advantage of?

If I am a authorized user on my husband's CO OPP card, do I still get 1st piece of luggage free?  I think as of 1/1/12, it is only the primary cardholder.

YMMV.  It won't be automatic but a rep at the airport may waive it for you.

Will a closed CO OPP card get the first bag fee waived?

I think that as of 1/1/12, the ticket needs to be purchased with the OPP card, so it probably won't work, unless u get a rep at the airport that doesnt know any better. YMMV, I guess.

Correct, effective 01/01/12 only CO/UA BIS miles count towards lifetime status.  Previously all EQMs counted toward lifetime status.

However if you have EQMs from the PP card you can still apply them to last year until 03/31/12 where they will count towards lifetime.

Additionally all EQMs earned on the PP card after 01/01/12 will expire if not applied within 39 months.  EQMs earned before 2012 will never expire.  CO will use a LIFO system so that the non-expiring EQMs stay the longest.

Other bad news, the 25% elite flight bonus is going away and the 2 free bags will only apply to 2 people max instead of 9.

The only bone they threw PP cardholders-no expedite fees on awards and no 4 flight minimum to get elite status.

Counts towards annual status (up to Plat and won't count for anything towards 1K) but no longer towards lifetime status.

So basically pointless to spend over $375K/year on the card, correct?

pretty much no point in it-except that u still earn regular CO mileage.does anyone have thoughts on this-i currently have the CO onepass+ card and i dont really use it anymore since i have the SP also(transfer my points thru that).i was was thinking about makin a run at the united card and trying for 50k.i was jst wonderin-if im already takin a hit on my report, should i try for the hyatt card too with a 2BM? i currently have the freedom card which makes 3 active cards from chase on file rite now.is it smarter to just move my CL from the CO over to the united card and avoid a hit, or does that give a hit either way?thanks in advance!

AFAIK, it's gonna hit you either way.

If I were you, I'd definitely do the 2BM.
