The picture with the card shows it with the MC logo (near the link to click to the app. IIRC). I was actually directed there by a rep when I was trying to get the card switched during recon and she explained that I should have applied from there for it to be a MC. That's why I was asking Dan if he can get his own link, to make it easier to get both cards.

The app may look the same but what's the code behind it. I f you look at an app from chase.com (without any referral) the address ends in DKWN&CELL=6154. If you look at the one from mastercard.com it ends in DKWS&CELL=62R6#. I have no idea what these codes mean but it may be the difference between a visa and a mc.

I too am wondering what these two variables (SPID and CELL) are, they also sometimes have a PROMO variable. I noticed they change by app/link, but I was hoping for something more specific.

Yea, I've tried messing around with the codes to see if I can come up with some interesting bonuses. So far nothing doing

Where are you getting the '60 days' time from? It's not set in stone and differs by CC issuer, but it's typically best to apply at multiple banks on the same day so they don't see eachother's credit pulls.

Dan I just wanted to thank you for helping me in the following way. I had been trying for a while to transfer the credit line of my Chase/BA card (btw thanks for the 100k Aivos as well) to my Chase freedom card in order to close the card. I spoke to my banker a few times who despite numerous phone-calls to corporate kept telling me that because it was a special promotion card it cant be done. I remembered you once posting something about a Chase Credit Replication Line and sure enough after a quick search and an even faster phone call it was all taken care of no problem. Just one of the many reasons of why I am such a fan, Thanks!!

It seems to me that you have a misunderstanding about what the word "churning" means in context of credit cards.

churning means to open a card, get the bonus, close said card and reopen the very same type of card a short while later in order to receive another bonus (for instance getting the a 50k bonus for the amex plat several times)

As far as a new 3bm is concerned you can definitely do one, AsherO was simply saying that when possible try to do your apps together for different banks as each bank will be easier to get approved for.

In this case you no longer have that opportunity, so you may have more difficulty getting all cards approved and are less likely to get instant approval, but you should be able to get the cards through recon assuming everything else is in order.

Dan, I'm looking to add the Citi Forward student card, I just want to check the 10K linked to in the first post is the latest and greatest out there before I go ahead and apply? Seems kind of low.
