i know this was addressed somewhere in a thread but for the life of me, i cannot remember where i saw it. ive been lookin around for it but cannot find it.
i applied for the UA card and i got this msg-
We have received your application. Our analysts are currently reviewing your application, and our goal is to notify you within 10 days of this application. Notifications are usually sent within this time, but in some circumstances it may take up to 30 days for processing.
i remember seein a post that said if ur decision pending was worded a certain way, u can deduce how likely u are to get approved...can anyone post the appropriate link if they know where it is?? TIA!!!

This trick is for when you call Chase: 800-432-3117 (Application status) not for the message that pops up after the app.

I was able to close my SW and move the entire CL over to my SP without any problem. Well, unless if you consider the CSR spending 10 minutes trying to convince me to keep the card as a problem.

Are lenders required by law to disclose your credit score to you if they deny your application? I once ready that if they dont approve you than they must disclose which bureau they pulled from, their contact details and the score. Citi are refusing to tell me the score, only saying to contact equifax.

Chase and amex give you your score, I don't see why citi shouldn't.

as long as the reason why they are denying you credit is because of your score they have to tell you

That's what I posted a couple of pages back.

If you check the link I posted above, you will see that people have gotten their score even after being approved - so its not just for denials.

My wife on the otherhand has a business gold card open,

Question:
can i make myself a AU on the gold in order to retain the points after i cancel or will that not work?

just a useful tip if anyone is interested;

I called Amex MR department twice today to get pending points expedited,
in the past I've had to call several times and finagle and whine,

This time i just said that i wanted to take advantage of the BA 30% bonus transfer offer before it expires at the end of the month and both times they granted me the points immediately with no argument!

Will the 4 credit pulls and 2 card closures from the last few months affect my approval for a car lease? My credit score was in the 750 range before I began all the apps, and I have had a car lease that was always paid on time.
