IME thats exactly what happened to me in even more then 1 month period, multiple inquiries doesn't necessarily mean multiple score drop, it depends on other factors on your credit report like credit age etc

Still a rather vague question. You simply want the most in nominal return (# of points)? Or are you asking for real return (amt of value)?

If you use a Chase PC, you'll get 25,000 PC points, but that equals no more than $150.

If you use Chase SP, you'll get 10,700 UR points, which equals no less than $160.

True for CO transfers, which is their best redemption, but theoretically you can get lousier values by booking travel with points etc.

I thought about that, but in the worst case, they can be sold for more than a lousy 1.25cpp.

Which hotel ( is it part of a chain)? Which cards do you have (or would you apply for the card just for the $5k charge)?

For Citi Premier TY card, does anyone know when $125 annual fee is charged? First billing cycle or end of first yr?

AFAIK Annual fees are always charged the first month of each* year starting when you were approved, not by calendar year.

*)unless it's waived, which is typical for many offers.

SP will give you 2.14 on travel. The Chase PC card will give you 5x points, but I don't think it's worth applying for just for that.

If you want to sign up for it, it seems they have an 80k offer.

its not a bad signup offer ($480) but it wont make it on time .  pc points are worth .06 and sp is about  .18. (5 times .06= .3, .18 times 2.14 =3.85) so i will go with the sp then. thnx

There you go, glad you were able to finish the thought (based on your own valuations).
