I don't know, maybe some people like Hilton hotels and already have the other good Amex cards? Also no annual fee is nice in case you want to keep open one Amex long term while closing others yearly.

There's not really any benefit per se in having a AMEX long term, as they always report the age of your first AMEX card on the report.

Any help with AMEX recon? They wouldn't budge without a hard pull and said my chances are pretty slim even though my score is 740.

What about the additional year warranty? that wont work once the card is closed.

I confirmed it over the phone as well, any active card and you're fine.
Obviously get it in writing though for yourself.

I'd rather just stick with one card I always keep open.

Perhaps after I see some people confirm that they actually received warranty coverage on a closed card, I'll change my mind.

2 months between 3BMs can be done IME, though they will ask you for your reasons. If you stay cool and can move around credit instead of asking for new credit you should be fine.

Apparently Chase is refreshing the Hyatt offer again.
The card will be taken down today at 6pm until Monday.

If you want the card apply now and you will be able to get matched if they sweeten the offer and if they make the offer worse you'll be locked into the better offer.

Here is the response from chase when I tried to do an offer match.
