I need another card. I have an offer from United for 50K. Should I do that, the chase preferred (I have a reserve) for 50K UR or the 80K Ink. I really am not in the mood of an annual fee.

No. You won't get approved.
Please continue here where it belongs.
That's where I gave my opinion too.

Under 5/24?

1. Yes (first, you should do Hyatt yet), do you qualify for Sapphire SUB?
  A. yes, get a sapphire.
  B. No, get a Marriott, or MPE, or maybe some SW.

2. No. (to under 5/24)
You can 2bm another Chase card, like the Ritz, or IHG that don't fall under 5/24.

Yes, I am under 5/24. I will do Hyatt first. What is Sapphire SUB, how do I know if I qualify? And what is MPE? Sorry for the ignorance, been a couple years since I played this game ;)

If you are under 5/24 I don't recommend getting the Hyatt, as it isn't subject to 5/24. Unless you have a extra good use for it now.
Sapphire SUB is 50k/50k+5k.
MPE is the MileagePlus Explorer.
I'd recommend those 2, over the Hyatt

I specifically wanted to stay at a Hyatt this summer, hence the reason to open a card. You are saying it is better to open a Sapphire?

Yes. You can really transfer the UR to Hyatt for the summer, then get the Hyatt card down the line

I can't apply for Sapphire and Hyatt at the same time? I had the Mileage plus a few years ago but closed it. What is a good use for the points? I do not fly much.

You can apply for both, but the Hyatt card you can get even when you are over 5/24.
If it's 24 months since the MPE, you can get it again. If hotels are more important for you, go for the Marriott. And don't forget the Ink Preferred.

Haven't signed for a new card in over 3 years, have Mileage Plus Explorer for over 3 years. AF is about to hit on this, and I am thinking of getting back into the game.

What cards should I go for? No plans to travel soon. Home airport is Sacramento (SFO for international). Would like to travel to India within a year or so. I was thinking SW to get CP, and Sapphire? Other better recommendations? With no AF is preferred, but willing to pay AF if getting better cards.

Is the Walmart MO thing still working with Simon mall Visa GCs?

Oh, and would prefer to have a card that offers lounge access (better if it allows guests for free).

Thanks.

Your ideas sound good, the 2x SW for CP, CSR which has PP with unlimited guest. CIP should be on the radar soon.
If you have a need for the MPE then you can downgrade and get the bonus again on that, or just downgrade.
