sorry for not being clear,
nope i did not authorize or book the  ticket, i don't have a confirmation number...
i did make sure that the ticket i was looking at was a refundable ticket though.

i just tried it, and i got the 100,000 offer (50k for first use ""and 50k after first annual anniversary"" )
here is how
1. open an incognito window on google chrome.
2. go to the BA site and search for a one-way flight from chicago to london on an upcoming saturday (i chose june 23). it should price out to around $1400.
3. hit continue a bunch until you get to passenger details.
4. enter your details on this page. you MUST select YES that you are the name on the card that will be paying.
5. you should come to a screen that says “earn 100,000 avois” which gives you the option to apply for the card. if you instead came to the payment screen, CLOSE the incognito window, open a new one and repeat.
6. choose “Yes, I’d like to pay for this flight using my new card.” you will NOT actually have to pay for the flight. click on apply now.
7. it will show the details of your flight along with a big price. hit “continue to credit card application.”
8. after you complete the application, you will be taken to a screen (hopefully telling you that you were approved) which will confirm that you have not yet bought the flight. it will redirect you to the payments page. just close the window, and you’re safe.

who ever got the card already maybe could try sm chase ?

I can't find the 3BM thread now so I'm posting here.

With chase we know that applying for a personal cc and a business cc will resul in 2 pulls even with the 3bm method.

Is it the same with Amex? Citi? BOA?

YMMV, but typically it'll work (i.e. they'll get consolidated) as long as it gets reported the same to the CRA.

Whadya mean? They don't give you base points for spending $5k?

The offer was 60K bonus points after 5K of spending. The current offer is 50K bonus points after 10K spending. They honored the 60K but not after the 5K spend. They still want me to spend 10K before they give me the points. It has nothing to do with earning points for each purchase. It's the bonus points I was referring to.

They don't typically match the spend amount, it's the bonuses they match. If you could get them to manually post for the lower spend amount ($5k), in all likelihood you'll get the original bonus when you hit the higher spend amount ($10k).

Should I call or SM them when I hit the 5K spend and ask them for a manual post? (Which would you think I will have better success with)

I don't think you have much hope of getting it, though meshugener claims he did it.

So if you succeed with SM after $5k spent, and then you spend $10k, you get 25k + 25k + 10k + 25k.

so i called chase about my united club card which i got instantly approved and did not post to my account. so the first rep had no clue what happened, transferred me to the fraud dep and he said it got canceled bec they suspected fraud, when i asked to reinstate it he transferred me and she said she can't tell me why it got shut down and if i want it i must reapply.
 she was very cold and did not want to give me any more info.
any advice what i should do??

btw my ba card i applied for with the same 3bm is showing on my account with my sp, so its a good sign its not an A/A.

With BOA you're most likely going to get a pull for each application you submit, even different personal apps.

That was my experience as well, but I froze two CRAs, did you freeze too?

This is card dependent base on what dept does the pull.

The FIA part I understand, I don't consider that to be BofA with regards to credit pulls (they still report as FIA AFAIK). What do you mean by departments within BofA (other than consumer/business, which is standard for all (or at least most) issuers)?
