Last night I tried the 3bm for the first time. I applied for the chase sapphire preferred, the British airways card, and the freedom card. All 3 said pending.
I called chase to find out why they weren't instantly approved. They said for the first card they're sending me a letter asking for proof of income and that the 2nd and 3rd card were declined due to too many open applications.
Should I call reconsideration about the 2nd and 3rd card or does it not pay being that the first card hasn't even been approved yet?

Im helping out a relative with little credit. There was a issue with a Banana Republic card which was never sent to their address. BH we resolved that with experian however we were only made aware of that after 2 application for Chase Freedom. !st one was denied because they were a existing Joint Cardholder of a Freedom account. 2nd because of delinquincy, which is now off the report. Question: Being that we have two recent pulls on their credit and "begginer level" credit should we wait a while to reapply? Its past 30 days so Chase will require a new app? They are applying from NJ so all pulls would be from Experian except Barclays.??Thanks!

They will definitely pull again to see if the delinquency disappeared. My guess is that you have some sort of chance with recon in this situation after explaining.

Anyone else?

I'm thinking along the same lines. Apply again and if they don't approve you because; A. You recently applied. Explain that you had a delinquent account the first time around which is why you weren't approved and its been taken care of. B. Your credit score decreased. Explain that that was because of the first app.

So you don't think I have better chances with Barclays, which pulls from Transunion. I should add that their credit score before this issue was 744 in October 2011.

That could work. I'm just saying you have a solid case as far as getting the card from chase.

I need a card that will cover CDW in Israel

I just did a 4BM on AMEX and think i'm not ready for a chase 3/4BM (SPMC) (as they both pull experian in NY)

What card should I go for here in NY?

something that won't hurt my score

I just got added as AU on citi card will this help me get only citi cards or will it also increase chances for chase and Amex ?

also will becoming an AU on same guys Amex card help me any more then just the citi AU? does it make a difference if one card is used more then the other

If it won't end up in another pull (IE if it will get approved with an Experian freeze, if.), is there a point in getting an increase in Chase credit when I only have 2 cards from them with a combined 12k credit, so I have more to play around with to transfer to new cards when it comes to HUCA on a 3/4bm?

Im looking for suggestions on my next app-o-rama... my last one was oct.

I currently have:

BA
united
starwood
starwood business
amex blue cash
amex gold premier rewards gold
freedom
sapphire preferred
aa citi card

my starwood is by far the oldest so i dont want to touch that.
I usually sell my points so thats the value I look for.
any suggestions?

I was thinking along a 3bm for two inks and a united business, as well as 2 more aadvantage citi (i think i have the amex so i guess a visa and mc) input??
