Do you mean through upgrades?  AMEX's T&C's (CMIIW) do not specify how you got the card.

I searched the thread and the link that Dan has - it seems that the going bonus now on the web for the Amex preferred blue card is 250 bux, but Dan's link makes no mention of it and folks who used it on this thread, have stated they do not get the 250 bonus. What do you all recommend?

Will the link that dan has get me 250 bux or should I go with a link that says it on the landing page: http://www.dansdeals.com/go/CardMatch/

Or maybe this link for the 250 bux will not work if I have an SPG and Platinum already that I got both of in May?

THANKS Dan. Also, what about a direct DD link to the Chase SW Biz plus card? I have your link for Chase SW personal but not one for Biz plus. If I click on the Chase SW link on the first page, and go to the biz card - will you get the credit?

OK, so I applied for two SW cards and both were put into review - that is a first for me, but I do have 5 chase cards maybe that is too many? I also applied for the amex preferred by clicking through the cardmatch link of yours and that was approved. Then I clicked through for the SPG Biz and it went into review. I called them and they said that they cannot approve two cards in a day, so I need to wait 3 to 5 days for their reply.

I guess I am in a holding pattern for 3 cards - such is life with my second AOR. The first AOR went far smoother

My husband had 2 chase cards up for their AF, so it was time for new apps.  I applied him for 2 sw.  Did 1 app.  It said I should call them with reference number xxxx.  So I called and after the first hold I offered to move the CL from one card and close it.  She felt bad for me to close it so she only moved 10K and left 5K.  I agreed to this.
Then the 2nd app.  Different browser.  This time it said pending review and I would hear from them by snail mail. No ref #.  Is this normal?  do I wait until the letter arrives and has a ref #?  If I call now, how do I ref the 2nd application that it is different than the first that was approved?  (first was premier one was ?other? personal)

A) If there's only one pending application, they'll know exactly what card you're talking about.

B) If it doesn't show you a reference number after you submit the application, the only way to view it is in the view source page. Look for something called appid or app_id.

C) The only point of calling with a reference number is so that they don't notice your other pending apps. Though if you call from a phone number that's listed on the account, they will anyways see all your pending apps the second you call.

You'll also need a pretty good reason why you need both cards since they're the same card.
