The satmerers at the Amman airport get upset if you are flying to the "medina". Just tell them you are there for the neturi karta convention and they will leave you alone.

Flew last week...they threw a guy who put on tefilin from the emergency exit...oh, it might have been the Israeli flag he was wearing.

It was a fair question

I would be interested to hear if anybody flying through AMM had any issues.

Was this the regular group going to the kever? Or was it a much smaller one?

I agree. Why would someone post it in the existing thread when they can make a new one?

Not sure, just realized this thread should have probably been part of this one: http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=80338.0
Can someone merge them. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm flying RJ next week. can I get some honest opinions about having a 4-hour stopover there?
I have done a turkey stopover in the past and I know that's fine but I feel like here the situation might be different after the recent incidents that occurred

TIA

This is something you gonna have to decide for yourself.

Chances of:
being killed: minute
being arrested: very very small
being detained: very small
being harassed by govt officials: very small
being harassed by other passengers: small

BTW: Turkey is "fine"? They had a coup less than a year ago.  You know what happens if a coup succeeds? Neither do I.

Eh. The coup wasn't in the airport.  :P
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

IST airport had an attack a year ago; the airport was shut down at the time of the coup, and the recent incident in Jordan wasn't in the airport either.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Obviously you never know what can happen.
Booked it with my Citi card just wondering if they will reimburse me if I tell then I don't feel safe flying and especially when the us state department issued a travel advisory
