Expedite Amex CC

I just made a platinum for my brother who I will be meeting on Monday in Israel. He needs it to get into lounges in Italy where he will be having a long stopover on the way to the US. My questions are as follows:

1. Had anyone have success in expediting a CC approved online?

2. Is there anyway to expedite the priority pass, or perhaps have them send it directly to Israel?

3. If I cannot get the AmEx card before Monday and will have to mail it to Israel, how should I do it - freeze it while it's on the way,  use expensive insured mail, have amex ship it to Israel (if it's possible)?

Yes you can expedite a cc approved online. In the worst case where the card was already issued they'll expedite a replacement and you'll get the original a few days later. I don't know about priority p[ass but amex will send your card just about anywhere although for the first card they're somewhat strict about only sending it to the listed address.

When I applied online for my SPG I got a message to call and when I did I mentioned expediting and they ups'd it to me. Try calling after the app gets processed maybe they'll expedite a new one.

I just called again and heard the same answer again: "It is not possible to expedite a card that received instant approval." I asked to talk to a manege, she said "a manger won't be able to help you with this - this is how are system is set up and there is no way we can change it!"

Total BS.

These days when I'm told that I just laugh it off. I've had so many experiences where I was told a manager can't do anything and once I spoke to the manager I got what I wanted (or at least more than the regular rep was willing to do). I'm not saying it'll work in your case, I'm just saying it's worth a shot IMHO.
