I want to buy a split unit online and just need someone who can install it. It would be one outside unit and one blower inside. Can anyone provide me some phone #s of people they used and also possibly PM me prices they have paid. Im in the marine park area.
One big advantage of buying the system from a dealer who installs it is in case of a need for warranty service.
The 5 major split manufacturers (Mitsubishi,Fujitsu, daiken, midea, gree) wont honor their warranties if the units where purchased online. And most of those companies give a 5-12 year warranty.
PSAThere are many technicians that are giving much cheaper rates due to many rebates that CONED is providing.
If you recently switched to split unit and would like to donate your usable window units to a Tzedaka, Please PM for contact info.Tax deductible receipts available
Was just gonna ask about that..Does anyone know someone who is charging post-rebate prices? (As in, laying out the difference and handling all the rebates himself)
yes, many of them are doing this bec they want the job. just to reiterate, this is for Con-Ed folks only.
Can you post more info? What's the rebate? Any names of dealers/installers?
even older models?
the technician is installing 21seer Daiken unites with hyper Heat. The rebate is really an awesome deal if you do your entire house. I think you can get back a total of 5K back for the entire house.of the ones that were willing to take care of the rebate themselves were the Chinese guys. seems like they send it to someone else to file it.
Not sure if you're just referring to what you happened to have gotten, but there's no brand requirement (though there are likely efficiency requirements). Also, I don't believe there is a limit of $5k. It's a ratio to the amount of heating cooling capacity being installed - $2k per 6k of BTU or something like that. They have to work up a full load calc to justify what they're putting in as well.I had a fire 20 or so months ago and my boiler needed replacing. I decided to put the insurance money toward mini splits and tear out the whole steam system and window/wall AC's. I was only comfortable doing so with hyper heat, and we ended up with Daikin. Can't say enough good things about the system.
Just did my whole house, 4 compressors and 9 blowers, for $8,400 installed beautifully, they didn't leave me not one hole or cut to fix
