Pretty neat feature in Google Maps Desktop, where you can view typical traffic by day of the week and time.

Pretty neat! Slowly blurring the lines between Waze and Google Maps...

ETA: After reading how old the article is, I have a minute left to Modify or Delete this, I'm debating which one I should do...

So the feature has been available for years before 2012 according to the article's date.
In another half decade we're gonna discover hoverboards and fidget spinners :P

Is it only me? Or is this feature disabled now?
Trying to ask a question but don't see that option?!

While causally leaving out the second half:

I think it's useful feature, there are times when google maps will take what it thinks is a shorter router by a minute but in distance is longer. I find that it usually pays to go the shorter distance (obviously within reason).

Maps have an issue you should be able to enter how much you're willing to sacrifice to avoid something like avoid tols will make you travel hours just to avoid a toll booth

Can i download directions for a specific route to have offline instead of an entire map?
What about adjusting the shape of the box for the downloadable area?

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app Maps.
Make sure you're connected to the internet and signed in to Google Maps.
Search for a place, like San Francisco.
At the bottom, tap the name or address of the place and then tap More More and then Download offline map. If you searched for a place like a restaurant, tap More More and then Download offline map and then Download.
