I got that when i requested the card, but nothing came in the mail during my diamond trial. Once that was over and they downgraded me to platinum (with a plat card).

Is it possible to hold a room/suite for a specific day and then pay for it with the free night award once it posts to your account? I don't want to get closed out of the hotel...

Well that's good. Just got status matched to Diamond. So I should just call the diamond line and tell them I will be getting free nights coming into the account with the chase credit card?

As a diamond they can hold a stay based on points you will transfer before the stay. Much better odds getting that switched to a CC night than a paid stay.

Ah- that was the trick. They offered to hold it for points. I'll do that. Do the CC free suite nights entitle you to any suite?

Ha, nope. You can't book into the Presidential with a suite night. Normally you get the junior suite or something similar.

Keep checking on availability as the date gets closer and you may be upgraded to best available suite. Not saying you will get Presidential but I have first gotten Junior suite and then called a few days before and was confirmed for a nicer suite.
