noob question.... do i get a suite if i book my free nights under a Hyatt diamond account?

I did not get a suite at Andaz 5th. They said they were totally booked. I wonder whether reaching out prior to check in would have helped or would they have said that I am only entitled to best non-suite room.

I called them and spoke to them about the challenge, they said it depends when in 2013.

Got a status match on a newly opened gold passport account. Do you think its safe to transfer in points from my older account to this newly opened one, or more brazenly, to outright merge the two accounts into the newly created Diamond challenge enrolled account? I note that the old account had a diamond challenge applied about a year ago.

In general with matching status how recent do the stays have to be? After Jan 1 it says I have 0 stays but I still have in my history from July.

Should be ok. Just depends on the representative doing the matching.

I was refused by multiple email CS reps for not having a stay within 12 months even though I have Hilton Gold. I was offered a platinum trial.

I have done it without any stay. i transferred some points into the account and the accepted it but YMMV.
