Hi,

I was wondering if you offered a diamond status match to other hotel programs. Please see attached for the status i currently hold in other programs.

Thank you for your consideration.

They responded with an offer to do a trial.

If I have a stay at a Hilton as a Gold member in January, can I use that to status match for the Diamond trial indefinitely? As in, in two years I can tell Hyatt, "Way back in 2014 I used to be Hilton Gold, so can I be Hyatt Diamond, please?" Or is it only for the next 3 months, 6 months, or some other specified time? I obviously want to delay until I have 60 days with some Hyatt destinations planned...

Hyatt will want to see that you are currently Gold AND that you have a stay within the last year.

Thank you! So, just to clarify, if I made Gold in December '13, and I stayed in January '14, I basically have unti the end of 2014 to status match to Hyatt Diamond?

I emailed them with a Hilton gold screenshot but they said they need to see my stays with Hilton and i dobt have any. Will HUCA work over email? Or should I HUCA over the phone?

I did over email. After 2 emails my request got forwarded to a different division which did approve my trial.

What does that mean?

I just did it twice and got the same thing
"Unfortunately I am unable to assist you with the enrollment in the Diamond Trial offer May I request you to provide me with details of at least one stay in the last 12 months with Hilton reflecting your name and tier on the same page. On receipt of proper document I would be happy to enroll you."

i think the Worst Possible Scenario just happened. I called up hyatt and asked and they said i need a statement and she put a note on the account that they are waiting for it. I tried to slickly get her not to put a note (cuz now they know i have called and I know exactly what i need) but she was TOO FRIENDLY and did it.

LOL true. Just sucks cuz i am gonna stay at a hyatt for 6 nights in april.

I can do that, but I am getting back from israel 4 days before I go to LA.

Why is it ruining it? If they dont want to accept me then they wont.

is there still a point in having status with hyatt before signing up for the chase hyatt card?
