Are we still holding out hope that the new terms will allow for diamond during the trial?? That would mean several bloggers got it wrong.

I had one rep speak to someone "higher up" and came back saying since i am a plat, i should be getting Diamond status. Got cut off in middle before i could fully confirm it and start the trial.

In the olden days it used to be that non-elites got Plat and Plats got DIA, so there's is hope...

Anyone looking to do this and wants to call today? Would love to have solid data points. Last rep i spoke to said she had just looked at my account for the rep i had previously been connected to. Think i am going to wait a little before calling back.

ETA: Tweeted a couple of Hyatt accounts. Maybe that will help.

There is a challenge. 2 key differences. Now you don't get the diamond status (4X dsu) until you complete all of the 12 nights. And AFAIK, you do not need top status at a different hotel group.

When did the challenge start?

I know there was speculation beginning of the year, but all the people i spoke to said there was no challenge.
