Should I first sign up for gold passport and then call to match or just call?
And if they don't give 2 free suite night when signing up for the cc, what are some of the benefits of diamond?

Late checkout, 4 suite upgrades a year on paid stays( I think also c+p),
Best room avail always(minus suite)...

The suite upgrades will work ,with any room rate booked on hyatt.com. Using points, there is a min rate, not sure what that is though.

I don't think they match to diamond, but will offer you a diamond trial. Took me a day to get the trial through email.

Whats the best time of the month to do the trial in order to maximize? It says 60 days, but dont they let you finish the month?

There was a post on BA about this. Depends when/if you have planned stays coming up. Additionally, if you get a trial now, you can get four suite upgrades which you can use on later stays and an additional four upgrades in March when the "new" year begins.

Agreed- but it would be nice to have diamond privileges in addition to the 4 suite stays. Trying to maximize.

Understood. Which is why the "best time to upgrade" is before you have some stays coming up.

Right- i actually just found one of the posts i was referring to that said it could be up to 90 days that you would have the benefits. Wanted to know if anyone had any experience with this? i.e if I would start the challenge on March 5th, I would keep it until May 30th?

"Note: Although the Challenge period is 60 days, you will get to keep the status until the end of the month so you can technically have it for up to 90 days. I don’t know whether this extends the 12 night deadline as well"
