if you happent to be passing the theatre you can pick up the tickets and then get them exchanged for vouchers which don't expire and are good any showing (including 3d). At least this is what AMC does for me.

I did the same thing a few months ago, they should honor it for another day if you buy it on Friday in the theatre

Yup, AMC will give you a voucher that is good any day, you just have to say you don't have the credit card on you when you go to guest services. I got around 40 vouchers during the Gilt deal ($2 per ticket) .
