I found it OK but below any of the top NYC restaurants, and my distant memories of Reserve are better.

I was there when they opened and it was really good. I went again a few months ago and noticed a marked decline. I subsequently found out that the original chef had left.

I’m tentatively scheduling a Shabbos next week at one of a couple of hotels we’re deciding on in North Jersey, in between Lakewood and Monsey/Brooklyn. Probably an all-suite hotel such as a Hyatt House or Embassy Suites in the Parsippany/Piscataway area.

As of now it looks like we’ll be having a minyan with a Sefer Torah in the hotel. Depending on size and other factors we’re either going to eat as a group in a suite with a conference room table, eat separately as smaller groups in individual suites, or possibly take a larger conference room/restaurant area to eat. Food will most likely be bought and brought by one person with the costs split evenly among participants.

We’ve done a couple of these in the past, but never on this thread. We’ll likely be staying at a hotel I’ve used before. All DDFers welcome- single, married, or other. If you’re really interested, please post on this thread (or wiki), but don’t PM me. Most of the details will be finalized early next week.
