This and the visnitz school that they are trying to close down for not teaching kids about alterative lifestyles is why it was worth voting for trump for conservative scotus justices

Can someone explain why they care if he goes to America?

If anyone has seen an article explaining this, I would very much appreciate reading it.

All I saw was the claim that it would lessen his "quality of life"

“Some people may ask why the court has any function in this process; why can the parents not make this decision on their own?” wrote Justice Nicholas Francis. “The answer is that, although the parents have parental responsibility, overriding control is vested in the court exercising its independent and objective judgment in the child’s best interests.”

Quality of life outweighs quantity for them. Allowing "death with dignity" is the primary value the hospital and court care about. Since they consider death with dignity and an end to the baby's suffering to be more valuable than any extra life and even the tiniest chance of improvement, they are essentially saying that the parents are acting against the baby's best interests

As a health care professional I can tell you that many in the US are very close to this already

Is this only true regarding babies, or can an adult also be said to be acting against his own interests?

How bad does a life have to be for it to be better to end it?

Having spoken on this topic in front of a hospital to the staff, I saw that this is true.
What makes this case so egregious is that the main argument (if we pay for it, we decide) is not present.

That's up to the death panel to decide.

What stops them from making the same choice for an adult?

The problem is sometimes it's the other way around. You have parents wanting to deny treatment for religious reasons who also want to take their kids home without being told what to do.

I understand that sometimes a court has to intervene to ensure that a child's interests are being represented. There question is, how is it in this little boys interest to die?

It's never in the boys best interest to die. I don't know enough about the story honestly.  Is their argument that enough is enough already?

No, they are arguing that because the chances of his situation improving are so small(in their opinion nonexistent), it is more important that he "die with dignity"
