There are many situations where a DNR would be appropriate and for all I know this may have been one of them.
It wasn’t

This is not true halachikly. There are many situations where a DNR would be appropriate and for all I know this may have been one of them. But as the Mishna in Shabbos says "one who closes the eyes of a dying person is a murderer", any action that speeds up death is murder. The fact that a court is willing murder a child against the parents will is pure evil.
this was a planned unplugging. how was this a DNR?

There is so much pent-up rage about this now. I hope something good comes out of it in the long run.
There is an effort to pass what's termed 'Alta's Law' which I understand returns some right to parents... halevai..

As long as a persons can life can be extended everyone must do everything in their power to keep them alive
therefore when someone takes measures that can shorten a persons life or is detrimental to their health it is nothing short of murder
I assume this is based on your religious beliefs and I respect that. Other religions believe differently but more important is the laws we live by.

This week's parasha is sedom and Amora. They also clothed their evil in supposed righteousness

I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

can you tell me what the other beliefs are based on ?
meaning is it because they don't think they can enjoy life anymore or can accomplish things?
genuinely curious as to what reasoning behind such an action would be from a religious stand point

What would it take to mount a Yad L'achim style operation here?

Anyone know why they did not go this route?

correct but a DNR has zero relation to this story
and there aren't many situations where one is permissible but your right i should clarify that there are times when a DNR would be allowed

So basically its law over morals, that's a slippery slope

with all due respect to yad l'achim, i think it wouldve taken more like an iranian nuclear archive style operation
unless im grossly overestimating the british

why do I suspect that's what the 'let her die at home' request was all about?

No it is laws we live by over ones religious beliefs.
Not talking about this case. Many believe removing life support from a brain dead person is the moral thing to do.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half
