Frankly, I'm still smarting from the last Halloween deval. This game is slowly coming to an end.
I have no doubt you are far enough ahead that this game will never end for you.
Oh, they'll never catch up to me... I'm closing in on seven-figures worth of redemptions Take that Smisek/Munoz.
The changes are with you in mind as usual. They want to help you reach 7 figures faster....
How will the deval help me get there quicker?
Ouch... Saver J awards on premium transcon flights going from 25k to 35k, 40% increase... ridiculous...
It annoys me that they make it sound like a good thing! I wish they would just call it what it is - a devaluation. Do they think their customers don't get It?Old school marketing.
What would you expect them to say? Something along the following lines? We regret that we haven't caught up earlier, but we found that our award redemptions have been too lucrative in many cases, and want to adjust that so that we can make sure we maximize our profits, as we believe that this will not adversely affect us. We are still more honest than Delta Airlines, in that we don't have variable pricing for saver awards, and that we actually publish a maximum rate (until we decide to change that). We are sure you understand our position, and will continue to fly the friendly skies with us, as consolidation has given us pricing power, and you don't have many other choices.
They may lose most of their customers that way but at least they'll earn our respect!
Will help you reach 7 figures of redemption quicker.
I'm referring to cash value... I'm well into 7 figures in miles.
That's subjective. How many of those trips would you have taken, and paid for in cold hard earned cash if not for the mileage game?
