Changing BA award ticket on AA

I recently booked an award ticket from JFK-LAX. Unfortunately, I need to move the time of the return flight on June 26 up to an earlier time. I used BA miles to book it, and am flying first class. BA.com says there is no availability for the earlier flights. AA.com says there is availability, however, i need to go through BA.
It is crucial that I change this flight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If AA has it BA has it. Call again with the flight number and virtually "force" the lazy rep to rebook you.

You cannot book the non-MileSAAver awards via BA. They only allow bookings for the lower mileage redemptions, making them harder to come by generally.

I booked a ticket from NYC to California on AA using BA points, can i switch the dates for free, keeping obviously the same departure and arrival city?

Just found the answer. To change a ticket on ba.com cost $40, but if u cancel it and rebook, than you will only lose the $2.50 security charge.

Technically it's a BA issued ticket, which means that it's subject to BA's rules, which means no free date changes.

However, you may have some luck by calling AA directly, although I have no exp.
