rumor has it that upstairs seats 73a-b are the best seats on the plane,i'm trying to figure out if there's a bassinet there as well, seems like it is from seatguru
They are the best upstairs seats, but they aren't bassinets. 72 J/K are.

The semi-lie flats aren't too comfortable IMO, and the only time the seats get close to a 172° recline is if the plane is ascending at 20°. I think an old school business seat would have been better.

4 E/F is kinda cool

What would you say for 2 adults, 3 year old and a 16 month old.
Should we just stick with 9 d,e,f? or split up like 10 j,k and the other 10 D.
What is the likelihood of a seat being opened next to 10D?

Yes. There are also 2 at 9 middle (D,E,F).
As moish said, 10 is for sure the best

Reread. He needed 3 seats 1 IIA, so I said 10A/B/D is the best config IMO

Is all this still accurate, or is the new Delta 744 configuration different.
And where are the bassinets in economy.
Thanks

Only when they mention Delta lie-flat seats is it accurate. Delta's new seats on its 747 is comparable to the new lie-flat seats on its 76W planes. The 777 seats are slightly different. This should help: http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Delta_Airlines/Delta_Airlines_Boeing_747-400_C.php

My question is which seats on the plane are bassinets in economy and in business, seatguru doesn’t show them.

Delta doesn't have bassinets in business on the 74S

Just flew them last month, I would recommend the upper deck as its much quieter.
On the way to tlv  I was sitting in the lower deck and did not enjoy as much, cause of all the noise from  economy class etc.
