Not sure if I posted this previously.
A few years back, was hiking with my kids, took daughter off the trail to find a private bathroom-suitable area, and found a DJ Mavic drone, googling it at the time showed it was about $1200 or so. Seems either the battery died, or it hit something and the battery got knocked out.
Tried googling around to see if there was some way to track down the owner (may have even asked here), couldn't find a good solution. Someone recommended checking the SD card if the owner might've put his info there. He hadn't. But then we thought of checking the geotagging on the pictures on the SD card.
First bunch were of a house in Columbia (I'm starting to worry a Columbian drug lord is going to be hunting me) but eventually I found some of a more local house. Googled the address, pulled up the names of the people associated with it, searched for their contact info, called. They didn't speak much English, but when they heard the word "drone" they got really excited. Eventually they came by to pick it up. I was at work and my wife was nervous, so she just left it in our mailbox for them to get.
I still don't have a good way of slipping in the Jewish/Torah part without sounding preachy.
