She just did it out loud. Plenty of skepticism on this one. I got it from 3 different places today. Didn't forward it to 10 people and broke the chain, so I'm waiting for it to rain on my daughter's wedding day.

Yosef works for an organization in BoroPark, but lives in Lakewood. Before Pesach, the organization gave their employees a gift card to KRM for $1000. 
Yosef's aunt, who lives in BoroPark, gave him cash for the gift card, so he can shop locally in Lakewood, and she'd shop in KRM.  Which she did. But only spent about half the card before Pesach.
After Pesach the aunt met up for coffee with a friend who's in a low income bracket.
She passed on the card to her.  Saying,  "I got it from my nephew, he got it from his boss.  It's all free food. You take it."  Without mentioning that she'd paid for it.

Sorry.  I'm having trouble with someone unknowingly leaving his bank statement on someone's car. It can't only be DDFers who are careful about sensitive information.

A receipt from an ATM might have the account balance and I can easily see someone using it as scrap paper to leave their number

Negative balance receipt can be very helpful in bringing down damaged car's owner expectation for large payout.

While it is possible that the story did happen and the location was mistakenly(?) changed. It does raise questions.

I think the Kiddush Hashem is the very fact that such a story is plausible. Obviously, it would be more impressive if it actually happened, but we all know people who WOULD do it in a heartbeat if they found such a receipt on their windshield.

A shul I pray in occasionally, has a group of boys that for weeks at a time, will break into the kitchen every Friday night, take tons of the hot kiddush food (leaving very little for Shabbos morning), and completely wreck the place. The person running the shul doesn't complain or say a word, he personally cleans the mess, and the next week he puts extra food and drinks aside for them with a sign welcoming them to enjoy it.

This has been going on for years but it still amazes me.
